BARDOS VIÑEDOS DE ALTURA
English: Varieties: Mainly Tinta Fina, although there are also stray vines of other varieties such as Albillo Mayor and Garnacha Tinta Vineyard: Extreme vineyards in Soria, between the towns of Alcubilla and Villálvaro, with a great winemaking tradition. Located at more than 950 metres above sea level, these plots are located at the headwaters of the Duero, very close to Urbión, a peak that greatly influences the climate of the area. Planted on sandy soils with fine gravel supported by ferric clay, they are old vines with low production, surrounded by wooded areas full of holm oaks, junipers and oaks. Harvest: Manual harvest between 29 September and 18 October. Production: Fermentation and gentle maceration in 15,000 kg vats at 18º for two weeks. Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Ageing: 12 months in oak containers of different sizes, from 225-litre barrels to 600-litre casks and large-capacity vats. Alcohol content: 15% Vol.
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Visual: Very lively cherry red with purple notes and a high layer.
Nose: Very fresh and complex nose, with fruity notes and spicy hints in the background.
Palate: Very pleasant, with velvety, ripe tannins. The acidity blends with the density, creating a perfect balance. The freshness of the fruit returns in the aftertaste.
