ESCALÓ

Wine making: To the white base wine, a little grape must be added (to provide sweetness), a blend of aromatic plants (predominantly wormwood), which give it character and natural bitterness, and a bit of wine alcohol to balance the mixture. Once made, it spends a certain time in contact with wood to gain complexity.

Tasting Notes
Medium-amber colour. Herbal aromas stand out (wormwood, fennel…) along with citrus notes (orange peel and grapefuit) over a background of noble woods (smoky and toasted). Notes of dried fruits (almonds, walnuts…). On the palate, it is intense. Its balance between sweetness, bitterness and body makes it have an easy mouthfeel.
