Sant Josep Vins is the winery of the agricultural cooperative of Bot, a village located in the south of the Ebro Valley, Terra Alta region. Arround a hundred wine-growing famílies, deeply rooted in the area, are the owners. Founded in 1962, it is currently formed by the second and third generation of members, managed by a professional team.
The cooperative is dedicated to making wine from the production of the member families, accompanying and guiding them to achieve the qualities and selections necessary for each brand.
All the grapes are local (from Terra Alta) and most of the plots are located around Bot, very exposed to marinades (garibinada) and close to the Massís dels Ports, where there is a wide variety of landscapes with a diverse wine-growing vocation. The main varieties are those typical of the Ebro Valley, among which Grenache blanc, Red, Peluda and Carignan stand out.
